These Edwards nXDS gas ballast blank adapters are for the nXDS dry scroll vacuum pumps. This adapter kit allows you to convert a standard nXDS-i pump into an nXDS-ir version. The nXDS-ir series pumps are designed for special applications, such as gas recirculation, rare gas pumping and recovery, or other applications where the dilution of the pumped gas is undesirable, or where sealing is integral to minimizing potential gas loss. These Edwards nXDS gas ballast blank adapters are often used to replace the standard gas ballast control knob, so that the gas ballast cannot be accidentally opened, the advantage is improved leak tightness at the ballast location.
